Terms & conditions
Last updated: 19 October 2026.
1. About us
These terms apply to quotes, installations and orders from Wentworth Protection Limited, registered in England and Wales (company no. 15430644, VAT no. 472069092), 1 The Quadrant Center, Limes Road, Weybridge, KT13 8DH. Contact: contact@wentworthprotection.co.uk or 07975 686773.
2. Quotes and prices
Our fitted prices include the bollard, installation, concrete, drainage, making good and a full clean-up, and include VAT. The fitted price we quote is the price you pay: it doesn’t change on the day. A quote is valid for 14 days.
If we find something on the day that changes the job (for example, unexpected underground services or ground conditions), we’ll explain the options and agree any change with you before doing extra work.
3. Booking and deposits
If you book your installation through the calendar in our online quote tool, we take a £240 deposit. If you book by phone, we take a 30% deposit, or you can pay in full upfront by card. Deposits are deducted from your final invoice and are refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours before your installation. The balance is due on the day of your installation, once the job is finished and we’ve handed over.
4. Your right to cancel
If you book with us online, by phone or away from our premises, you have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work within those 14 days and then cancel, you pay for the work done up to the point you cancel. To cancel, contact us using the details above.
5. Online orders (supply only)
Supply-only orders placed through our online checkout are processed by Shopify. Delivery is free and usually takes 3–5 working days. You can return unused items in their original condition within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the price paid. Return postage is paid by the customer. This does not affect your statutory rights.
6. Installation
- Please make sure we can access the drive on the agreed day and that we know about any known pipes, cables or drains.
- We check for underground services before we dig, but can’t be responsible for services that are undeclared and undetectable.
- Your installer will show you how to use your bollard and hand over keys or remotes.
7. Guarantees and warranties
Our installations are covered by the Wentworth Gold Guarantee for 12 months. Products also carry their manufacturer’s warranty where stated (for example, 36 months on our electro-mechanical automatic bollards). Your statutory rights are not affected.
8. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Our bollards are a physical security measure; they are not insurance.
9. Complaints policy
The business always endeavours to provide the best service. However, on rare occasions there may be times where a customer may not be completely satisfied.
To ensure the business can put things right for you, as soon as possible after the completion of the works, please inspect the work to ensure everything has been carried out based on the contract terms and to the high standards the business aims to achieve.
Please contact the business straight away with any concerns either by phone, email or write to us. If writing, get proof of posting.
Business Complaint Procedure
On receipt of your complaint the business aims to respond within 5 days.
The business will arrange a convenient date to come and view and/or remedy the situation within 28 days.
In the unlikely event the business is unable to resolve your complaint having exhausted the business complaints procedure, it may be necessary to use another complaint service. Where the business cannot resolve the complaint to your satisfaction and/or agree to the final resolution requests confirmed to us; and both parties agree a ‘deadlock’ has been reached, you can then escalate your complaint.
The business has access to an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service for our domestic installation, service, repair and maintenance contracts as part of the Which? Trusted Traders Endorsement. If you choose to, you can refer your complaint to Which? Trusted Traders’ Alternative Dispute Resolution. You will need to contact Which? Trusted Traders on 02922 670 040 who can explain if you are eligible to use their Alternative Dispute Resolution.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
